There are so many people here, from all over the world, with different backgrounds, cultures, and stories. I’m me3ting new friends every day, and learning new things every hour. But I’m also missing my home, my family, and my friends. I miss the little things that make me feel connected and loved. Like bumping into a familiar face at the water fountain, someone I’ve known and been known by for years. Like having a chat with my neighbor, who always has a smile and a joke for me. I love my community back home, and I’m grateful for it. But I also love this adventure, and I’m excited for it. I like to think of it as “I have so many friends, I just haven’t met them yet.” I like to think of it as an opportunity to grow and discover. That’s why I want to share this with you. Because I want you to know that you can do this too. You can get out of your comfort zone, and explore the world. You can m3et new people, and learn new things. You can have fun, and find yourself. You don’t have to go far away like me. You can start from your own backyard. You can join a club, or volunteer for a cause, or take a class. You can talk to someone you don’t know, or listen to someone you do know. You can try something new, or do something old. You can do anything you want, as long as you do it with an open mind and an open heart. That’s what I’m doing here in Taiwan, and that’s what I hope you’ll do wherever you are. Kisses to you!
