I'd like to intro my Tarot practice a bit more as there are so many new folks around here! Tarot is a practice of cartomancy, or divination using cards. I encourage you to look into the history of Tarot if you're curious, because this won't be that. I also acknowledge that the history of Tarot and the Romani people is fraught, and while the Romani did not create Tarot, they popularized cartomancy and are frequently, violently marginalized as fortune tellers. I seek to acknowledge their contributions in my practice and hope you'll do more research to learn about their history and efforts for Romani justice and rights. I first learned of Tarot in a YA novel when I was about 13. I was immediately intrigued and got my first deck not long after. I've been studying the Tarot since then, although my practice became more diligent and rigorous in the last several years. That rigor and passion led me to start offering professional readings in late 2020, after earning Tarot Reader certification from Biddy Tarot. I believe the Tarot is one of many tools, frameworks for cultivating insight into ourselves. As a Tarot reader, my responsibility is to use the cards to facilitate that process of insight and introspection for the querent. I believe that all humans possess intuitive abilities. Our intuition is the “gut” feelings we receive, the messages whose origin we can’t quite pinpoint. Intuition connects us to the collective and interdependent nature of the Universe, the Earth, and humanity. I use the Tarot to open portals to my clients’ intuition, to their abilities to heal, to love, and to fight for justice. During a reading with me, there are no wrong interpretations of a card, clients can expect an open discussion of the cards together. I encourage questions and experimental thinking! I hope to create a safe space for clients to be vulnerable and speak their minds. If the client is comfortable, I may also work with crystals, candles, and smoke sticks during a reading. The process of the reading is sacred, from booking to follow-up. To maintain this sanctity, the client’s boundaries, needs, and consent come first. See the pinned post on my page for rates about readings and please dm me if you have ANY questions! I love talking about this system and engaging with y'all 🖤
