On my flight to South Korea, during take off I was editing this upside down video on my phone. I created a longer video with a voice over commentary that is on YouTube now. Itās performing well straight out of the gate! In the first hours itās grown to be the top ranked video Iāve posted in the past couple months. :) So as I was editing the video on my phoneā¦. The man sitting behind me on the airplane tapped my shoulder and asked, āwhy would someone paint upside down?ā ⦠I said ābecause it feels good, itās fun and it helps me think outside the box.ā ā āwait! Thatās you?ā He said. We had a conversation about how important it is to turn your world upside down, to get your brain to think differently, to see differently and to experience life differently⦠something new and fresh always comes. It feels fun to be out of my studio, to be out in the world and to realize Iām the artist from the studio that people can watch online. Lol when Iām in the studio I forget about the outside world. Iām a happy little fish in a bowl. Out in the world I realize that people might be surprised to see my work and thereās a good chance that hanging upside down painting is one of the funkier jobs on the plane⦠if we passengers all took a survey. Lol āš¼ Iām currently chilling at the airport in South Korea ā my 21hr trip has expanded to 45hr+ ā Iām grateful for yoga right now. Itās keeping me stretched out and comfortable despite the long sitting and waiting. Itās in moments like this when I really really really understand the gift I give myself when I invest my time and money into keeping my body healthy and flexible. š love, cha
